The moment when someone fighting addiction takes their first step toward recovery. The look on a single mother’s face when she finds a new job and a new home for her family. The feeling of achievement when a previously struggling teen receives a college acceptance letter. Imagine being part of these momentous events. Imagine the pride and sense of accomplishment you would feel knowing that you helped make a difference.
At Community Behavioral Health, we impact lives on a daily basis. Community Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of Community First Solutions, is a non-profit leader in mental health, alcohol and drug, child and adolescent, and employment assistance services and programs in Butler County. We set ourselves apart by offering comprehensive services not only to individuals affected by behavioral issues, but also to their families and support networks.
We take pride in the progressive services we offer clients. When someone needs treatment, they need it right now. Our walk-in assessments and immediate access to services allow clients to begin recovery right away. We determine a personalized course of treatment and connect clients to variety of programs depending on their individual needs.
We are on the forefront of treatment options and offer specialized programs including:
Our Medication Assisted Therapy program combines therapy and prescription drugs to help clients overcome the struggles of addiction. Integrating Vivitrol and counseling as part of the recovery process has helped more than 100 individuals achieve sobriety within the past year.
The Teen Intervention Program (a 90-day program in lieu of probation and/or suspension or expulsion from school) helps teens break substance use patterns through group and individual counseling sessions. Since its inception in 2014, over 500 teens have completed the program and have chosen better paths into the future. Thanks to a grant awarded by the Hamilton Community Foundation Youth Philanthropy Committee, the program will now offer extracurricular activities that will provide teens with physical and creative outlets while improving essential social and life skills.
The Employment Assistance Program provides resources to help clients who have difficulty obtaining and maintaining employment because of social, situational, or mental health barriers. We offer five-day workshops designed to help clients find, secure, and maintain employment. Topics covered include: resume building, online employment searches, establishing an email account, effective applications, overcoming employment barriers, how to interview and answer difficult questions, dressing for success, and understanding hidden rules of the workplace. We provide clients with the tools and skills they need.
We invite YOU to help us change lives.
