The past year has seen a tremendous shift in the leadership and overall culture of Community Behavioral Health. Laura Sheehan was introduced as president in July and Jason Maurath was hired as Vice President of Operations. Both Sheehan and Maurath have extensive experience in the mental and behavioral health industry, from working directly with clients, to training management staff and developing policies and procedures. They are extremely familiar with the clients and community it serves.
“Our clients need an advocate to help them change their lives,” Sheehan said. “In an environment where every detail must be documented and every moment must be accounted for, it’s easy to lose focus on what’s the most important— our customers.”
It is this understanding that led Sheehan and the leadership team to develop a new client focused organizational philosophy, CBH Cares.
“We fully believe that if we focus on caring for each customer to the fullest extent, all other responsibilities will be met,” Sheehan said. “We will go out of our way to see that clients keep their appointments, connect to more supportive services and achieve their best self.”
With this new leadership and customer care focused approach, CBH looks forward to continuing to work collaboratively with the courts and other organizations to meet the dynamic needs of the community.
